How I Survived Prison
I received a prison sentence for my first (and only) offence. Like many other people, I didn’t think defrauding the tax man was a real crime. Unfortunately for me, the court doesn’t share my point of view.
From the moment I knew my crime had been detected, I felt physically nauseous; my stomach knotted up, I didn’t feel like eating and I couldn’t sleep. I dreaded the thought of being locked up in prison with a bunch of violent criminals. My worst fear was that I would be raped; my worst nightmare was that I would be raped by a gang.
My lawyer told me right from the start that nothing short of a miracle could keep me out of jail. Instead of planning how to keep out of prison, I was advised to learn about surviving in prison. As I am a dentist by profession, not athletic and not particularly streetwise, this was excellent advice, and I don’t think I would have stood a chance of surviving prison if I hadn’t studied prison survival tactics.
I had seen publicity about professional prison coaches who tutor celebrity criminals on surviving in prison, but when I made enquiries and discovered how much they charged, it was obvious that the fees were way out of my reach.
Due to the nature of my crime, my bank accounts had been frozen. My wife and my parents were footing the legal bills, but there was no way I could ask them to come up with another $10,000 for prison coaching. I estimated that my chance of surviving in prison without coaching was about nil; I needed help badly.
It didn’t take me long to find out that there are quite a few books available on the subject of surviving in prison. While I was browsing online, I struck gold – I discovered there was a prison survival ebook available, that meant I could instantly download the book to my computer and start coaching myself at home right away.
Some of the things I found out from the book horrified me but, forewarned is forearmed, as they say, and I read every page of that book. Learning what to expect from prison life enabled me to learn how to deal with it. I learned about things I had never heard or thought of before, and I learned the tactics to prevent those things happening to me.
I won’t say being in prison was easy, but I survived and I am certain the outcome would have been different if I hadn’t downloaded that ebook. If you are facing a prison sentence, I can highly recommend Survive Jail it was an invaluable help to me, and made surviving in prison a bearable (albeit not too pleasant) experience.
